Description

Chypolites are one of the most popular Greek traditional products. Since the time of our grandmothers, they have been the basic pasta of the housewife. The ingredients are flour, semolina, fresh pasteurized sheep's milk, fresh farm eggs and salt. During its preparation, we cut the dough either into small square pieces, the so-called chylopites, or into long strips, the so-called lasagna. Then we dry and completely dry the cut dough in specially designed chambers. Chylopites accompany red meat and chicken on formal occasions. For busy people who want a quick and tasty dish, boil the noodles for 4′-5′ and add grated feta cheese. The most alternative ones, don't hesitate to add them to your souffle, taking off its taste!

In our traditional recipe for chylopites, the addition of Florinis pepper resulted in this specific culinary idea. The Florinis pepper gives the dish a natural color, taste and rich aroma without adding any coloring substances at all.
